If your company, organization, school or club would like to sponsor my participation in this event it would be fantastic. Not only would you be supporting a worthwhile cause which will make you feel good, but your donations are tax deductable for between 21% and 28%. Effectively you reduce your tax liability so if you pledge £100 it is virtually the same as getting £21 of that from the tax man. Now that will make you feel even better! Over the last 10 years they have been a constant source of assistance and support as my has grown business, and I am extremely grateful to them. When they found out about the run they kindly provided me with equipment that I can use to auction off in a raffle at our next club function. I thank them for their continued support.

I have been looking for some eye wear for the desert. The requirement is to be lightweight (so that I can run in them and carry them) and to be suitable for the odd sand storm just in case one pops along. Lots of sun glasses on the market (no good in a sandstorm) and lots of ski goggles (not ideal for running) .... and also lots of very expensive glasses on the market. So I made contact with CGlass. They are a specialist company making goggles and glasses for a range of activities - but at very reasonable prices. They have agreed to supply my goggles for the run which is fantastic. Many thanks guys. If you are looking for some goggles or glasses I reckon you will find them here.
Cotswold Outdoor, one of the UK's largest suppliers of outdoor and camping gear have agreed to support me. They have an enormous range of equipment, some of which is going to be extremely useful for my race. One of the main items that I am pleased they stock is freeze dried food. There are only a few types on the market so this gives me more choice. Their latest catalogue is free or you can buy directly on their on-line shop
Ultimate Outdoors have a number of outlets around the country and have supplied my OMM Mummery 1 sleeping bag. This high quality bag is good down to nearly zero degrees and weighs in at around 1/2 kilo which is incredible. It is ideal for running the marathon. Ultimate Outdoors sell a huge range of equipment for climbing, walking, camping and other outdoor activities. They have an on-line shop so why not take a look.
Primo Terraza and Tiles Ltd have recently joined our list of corporate sponsors with a donation of £100. If you have ever been to a major shopping centre, the chances are that you have wlaked on one of their tiled floors as this Portsmouth based company operates across the country. Many thanks to everyone at Primo. Atlas Vehicle Conversions are a Portsmouth based company who undertake high quality car and van conversions; you should see Joe's wagon - it even has a removable bed in the back. Joe Cordina and his company have generously sponsored me with a donation of £250. Joe and his wife Mary have supported many of the mad charity events we have undertaken, but this was a fantastic gesture. Many thanks Joe and Atlas Conversions.
Buff the Original Multifunctional Headware have sponsored me with the supply of a number of their products. The Buff range are extremely versatile and can be used in a number of different ways. What I particularly liked is the fact that they have a UV protection range that are going to be perfect in the desert. I have looked through a number of forums and many runners who have done this race in the past have recommended the Buff. I am very grateful to Buff for supplying these products and supporting me in my efforts.
Digital Distribution are the UK importers of the Fuji range of cameras. I needed a lightweight digital camera, with an adequate capacity and battery life and enough automatic features that I can use it in a range of circumstances. They have donated the latest 8.2 Mega Pixel camera, the Fuji Finepix J10. Many thanks Digital Distribution.
Many thank to Fathom and Blues who very kindly donated £500 towards the event. Owners Dale and Ron Spree first class dive centre so if you are looking for some great diving in the Weymouth or Portland area, they are the people to see.
The Outdoor Warehouse is based in the Lake district and provide a range of outdoor equipment. They have very kindly sponsored me with the donation of the backpack I need for the run. I have to say, they were extremely helpful when I made contact with them and offered plenty of advice. So if you are looking for some outdoor gear and want a friendly first class organization to work with, give the Outdoor Warehouse a call.
Alexandra Sports is based in Portsmouth and is the place to go for running equipment. I am very grateful to them for their offer to support me by giving me the footwear that I will need not only to run the race in but also trainers to train in beforehand. If you need help with running kit then please go to see them. I have been running for years but have never used a running equipment shop with service like this one; quite simply superb.

from diving to the desert - and I am utterly in awe of his determination
to do something as demanding as this.
David¹s pledge to raise money and awareness for Water Aid should also be
lauded. An appropriate charity that really makes a difference by providing
something we all take utterly for granted.
I wish you every success David and will be watching you - on TV!
